BroadBand guitarist Nick Marland live with soul diva Ruby Turner
Nick Marland, BroadBands guitarist extraordinaire, will be out and about with soul goddess Ruby Turner this year, in between her appearances with Jools Hollands Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. Watch out for Ruby with Nick at a venue or jazz festival near you.
As well as BroadBand, Nick also plays regularly for Errol Brown (Hot Chocolate). There must be a ‘You Sexy Thing’ joke in there somewhere......

BroadBand booked for Ledston Ball June 2008
We are delighted to have been booked for the prestigious Ledston Ball fundraising event, held in the grounds of the magnificent Ledston Hall near Leeds. The ball is one of the biggest charity fundraisers in the country, and a definite highlight of the Yorkshire social calendar. We’ll post pics in the gallery, of course...!
BroadBand booked for CAFT Christmas Ball December 2008
The Children's Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) are a charity based in Cheshire who do amazing work with under privileged children. Their patron is Sir Bobby Charlton, who along with many Manchester celebs, attends the main fund raising event of the year; the Christmas Gala Ball. This year the event is being held at Mere Golf & Country Club in Knutsford, and BroadBand will be making sure the dance floor is packed well into the wee small hours!!

BroadBand bass player Neil Fairclough on tour with Pink Floyd tribute, ‘Off The Wall’
Supremely talented BroadBand bass player Neil Fairclough is currently on a massive UK tour with Pink Floyd tribute band ‘Off The Wall’.
Now, this is not like a tribute band you would see down at your local pub. Off The Wall routinely play to audience capacities of over 12,000 people in indoor arena across Europe and the Far East.
The venues they are playing in the UK are slightly smaller than the European venues, but it means that the band can cover a much wider area, visiting over 50 towns and cities. Neil says it’s a bit like being in Pink Floyd, but without the Ferraris....

One of BroadBands keyboard maestros, Matt Steele, is off on a 2 week tour of Japan with London hipsters ‘Swing Out Sister’ at the end of March. Although the bands profile in the UK has been low recently, they are massively successful in Japan, Europe and the States. Their biggest UK hit was ‘Breakout’ at the end of the 80’s.
Matt has also recently returned from another 5 week US tour with The Brand New Heavies, and has previously played and toured with Errol Brown (Hot Chocolate), Shazney Lewis (All Saints), Cleopatra, Demis Roussos, Heather Small and Ruby Turner. And BroadBand, obviously.....

During an extremely busy month, BroadBand were delighted to appear at the prestigious Ledston Ball, held in the beautiful grounds of Ledston Hall near Leeds.
The ball is in aid of many local charities, but also this years main beneficiary from the fundraising was the Variety Club Childrens Charity.
BroadBand7 played a mixed set of up to date chart hits, 70’s & 80’s with a bit of soul thrown in for good measure perfect for the crazy soul brothers and disco divas at Ledston!

BroadBand6 played the annual bash for the famous Bettys Tea Shop and Taylors of Harrogate. Taylors of Harrogate make Yorkshire Tea amongst many other things...!
The event for 800 guests was held in a huge marquee in front of the amazing Allerton Castle, near Harrogate. The theme for the evening was ‘Welcome to the Rainforest’, so on request, the band went for the fake furs!
BroadBand played for two hours, and as you can see from the pictures taken from the stage, Bettys & Taylors know how to party!!
